BLS International in the UK: what to expect
How BLS International visa centres work for applicants in the UK, from booking to passport return, and tips for a smooth visit.
BLS International is another outsourcing company that some embassies use, for example Spain for applicants in the UK. The process is similar to other centres: appointment, documents, biometrics, then the embassy decides.
The process
- Book on the official BLS website for the destination country and the UK centre you want to use.
- Complete the form and pay the fees. Print the appointment slip.
- Go with all originals, copies and the passport. Staff check the file but do not decide the visa.
- You can usually track the application online and receive the passport by courier or collect it.
Good habits
- Check the embassy page and the BLS page for the same checklist, and follow the embassy if they differ.
- Arrive a little early and bring the confirmation.
- Never pay outside agents for "guaranteed" slots.
Check the official checklist
This guide is general information, not legal advice, and it does not guarantee a visa. Rules differ by country, visa type and consulate, and they change. Follow the checklist of the embassy or visa centre you apply to.
